About us

Community life is so vibrant, it can’t be captured in a single photo

We are a warm, thoughtful Chabad community in Bat Yam. Our main languages are Russian and Ukrainian — but our doors are open to everyone. People come in and feel at home. We listen, we support, and we help you grow — calmly, respectfully, without pressure.

Our motto is: “The unknown - shall be revealed.” We open Torah and Jewish tradition in a clear, gentle way — and turn learning into steps you can live: in prayer, at home, and in the joy of holidays. We offer lessons of Torah, Kabbalah, and Chassidism — for those who want depth and for those taking their first steps.

The community is led by the emissary of the Lubavitcher Rebbe — Rabbi and Dayan (rabbinical judge) Shmuel Fortman Hapartzy. A long-time teacher and community leader; married, father of 10. Professionally, he is a systems architect for multi-technology systems — skilled at structuring ideas and explaining complex things simply.
